Principal's Message

I, along with the Administrative Team of the School of Information Technology at Eastside am excited about the vast undertakings that have taken place over the last few years. We will continue to use a personalized and proactive approach as we strive toward becoming one of urban education's best.  As we move forward, we always remember the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character that is the goal of education.”

The high school experience is what students, staff, administration and parents make it. With a focused lens from each of us, we can easily expect each student to graduate in four years.  Not only will they graduate but they will be ready for their post-secondary experience. We encourage all to embrace and respect this learning phase knowing that its outcomes will produce more for students than any other identified educational experience.  Their education will take them farther than anything else in life. Learning goals have been set that will assist each student in being successful. Now, we as a collective team must focus to assure success. The right focus will assure it happens.

During the time that the students are in school, a nurturing and supportive environment will be provided. Our school doors are always open for you to visit our classrooms, Home School Council meetings and any other event that involves your child. Questions about the educational process are welcomed and will be answered. Consider our school the informal community school where community is vital.

Each year brings a new beginning in education. New beginnings allow us to reflect and refine for improved performance. With high expectations, we embrace the 2018-2019 school year. Collectively, we have all the synergy that is needed to transform our school into a leader in urban education. Let’s Do It Together!
